3.       PLANNING APPLICATION Land Adjoining Springfield Lodge and Springfield House.  Outline planning Application to erect one Detached Dwelling and Garage.

The plans were inspected and application discussed.  In principal there were no objections to outline planning permission.  Some comments were made which need to be brought to the attention of BDC.  Laneham is traditionally a linear village and this type of development, partly outside the village envelope, is moving away from this image and is not in keeping with the proposed Parish Plan.  Information provided with this application appears to conflict with P.C. records needs to be clarified.  Concern was raised about the amount of turning space available for emergency response units and if the access would be suitable for the increased number of vehicles.

4.       PLANNING APPLICATION Barns at Beech Farm Convert Redundant Barns to 2 New Dwellings

The plans were inspected and discussed.  The development of this site is welcomed.  The council made the following comments they would like to see some of the original features of the barns retained/incorporated into the new buildings i.e. brickwork, corbelling, tiles.  The proposed Parish Plan advocates that the village needs affordable housing and wondered if the development could be made into 3 smaller units rather than 2 large ones.  The plans showed no vehicular/access to the rear of the property.

5.       BUS SHELTER

The project needs to be taken on by a member of the council to keep it moving forward.  Cllr. Mrs. Barber agreed to do this with help from Cllrs. Cable and F. Clark.  Funding will be required; ways of raising money need to be considered, i.e. local businesses, sponsored events etc.

The Chairman had to leave and handed over to Cllr. F. Clark to complete the business.

6.       VILLAGE HALL

Two more decorators have now inspected the hall.  Quotes to be submitted.  Mr. Weston of the Probation Service would not be available for about 3 months, but to be provisionally requested to book the hall in his schedule.

7.       BRIDLEWAY 25

Another gate has been erected backed by a horsebox blocking the lane.  Eddie Brennen to be contacted again to be asked to take immediate action to sort this out before the next meeting.   Environment Agency also needs to be contacted about some trees at the riverbank.

There was no further business discussed and the meeting closed at approximately 8.15 p.m.
