3. PLANNING APPLICATION
OPTIVITE, MAIN STREET – OUTLINE PLANNING APPLICATION FOR RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT AND ALTER EXISTING ACCESS
The plans and attached paperwork had been circulated since the last meeting. After discussion the council agreed to support the application and wised to make the following comments –
a) The council are please to note that all the existing employees will be employed at the new plant.
b) The council are concerned that no back fill building takes place beyond the line of village envelope
c) The council is pleased to note that the drawings indicate that two smaller dwellings will be included.
d) The council presumed that the developers have taken into account the potential miasma with regard to the adjacent buildings, which house cows in winter.
e) As observation was also made regarding the adjoining building which is currently offices being returned to residential accommodation, which would mean the loss of the last purpose built retail outlet in the village.
f) The council would, of course, expect to be consulted again when any planning application for the building is made.
