PRESENT: Chairman Cllr. G. Scrini, Councillors Mrs. B. Barber, Mrs. A. Clark, P. Baines, P. Cable, F. Clark, J. Cobb,
2. DECLARATION OF PERSONAL AND PREJUDCIAL
Cllr J. Cobb declared a personal interest in the planning item and did not take part in the discussion of Item 3.
3. PLANNING APPLICATION – 2 Broadings Lane – erect bedroom and shower room extension for disabled person.
The plans were inspected and compared to the previously approved plans. After discussion all 6 councillors were in favour of the application.
4. BEST KEPT VILLAGE COMPETITION
It was agreed to enter again, and a cheque for £4.00 (000601) was approved for payment. The “footpath sweeper” has already commenced work; however, it was pointed out that a Risk Assessment should be undertaken with Alex. Cllr. Mrs. A. Clark agreed to do this. It was also noted that using a power strimmer by an under 18 year old alongside the Main Street is not legal. Alex to be advised of this and some help to be organised. It is hoped once the grass is down to a mowable level Alex will be able to keep this tidy. The Planters and Hanging Baskets were also discussed. It was agreed that Cllr. F. Clark should contact the local Garden Centre with a view to purchasing plants for these.
The Clerk informed the meeting that Tallents, Solictors had advised that Mr. Hardman has now paid the outstanding debt in full for the reinstatement of the Parish Field to the Council.
There was no further business and the meeting closed at approx. 7.50 p.m.
