4. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
The Chairman welcomed the newly co-opted councillor Mrs. Corrina Simpson-Kane to her first meeting. He went on to thank everyone for the support he had received over the last year from councillors and residents - all their contributions had made another successful year. Meetings have been more structured and completed within the two hour target, finances are in good shape which has enable the precept to be reduced this year. There has been some difficult areas including vandalism but we have to move on and focus on the achievements. The Bus Shelter loans have been repaid in full, Bookies and Cookies is going from strength to strength, the Parish owned land has now been registered, a new blog set up and Meadow and Archive projects are moving on. The Village Hall repairs are nearing completion. It was also pleasing to note that at least 35/40 residents are contributing to tasks in the village. Thanks must also go to Mr. John Smith for doing the internal audit of accounts and Ken Walker for the grass cutting.
Cllr Fred Clark thanked the Chairman, on behalf of the other councillors for his leadership and work over the last year
